There was an attempted abduction in a neighborhood near the U of M campus on Thursday morning.
According to University of Minnesota Public Safety (via 5 Eyewitness News), the attempt occurred at 7:16 a.m. near 4th Avenue SE and 6th Street SE in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood of Minneapolis, which is near the campus.
The victim was reportedly grabbed by a male suspect wearing a blue hoodie and blue sweatpants. She fought against him and he fled on foot.

Since the incident occurred, the Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association called a crime and safety meeting to discuss it on Monday, September 16, where representatives from the Minneapolis PD's 2nd Precinct and other city officials will be there to answer questions.
