Valleyfair Looking To Hire About 600 For Halloween Festivities

Valleyfair is looking to hire 600 new employees ahead of ValleySCARE, the largest Halloween attraction in the Midwest. Fall positions for The Great Pumpkin Fest and Halloween Haunt activities include character actors, ride attendants, food and beverage associates, and safety & security personnel.

Valleyfair will be holding Open Interviews on September 7 and September 14 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Persons interested in working at ValleySCARE can visit to apply online or attend the open interviews. The interview process for character actors may include improv activities and vocal exercises.

Individuals who are 18 years of age and older can apply to be ride operators, a position that earns $14 per hour, or security officers, earning up to $15 an hour. Those under the age of 18 years old can apply to work during the day at The Great Pumpkin Fest attractions.

“Valleyfair’s fall season is such a fun time to join the team,” Andy Bursey, Valleyfair’s operations manager, said, “We have associates who come back year after year to be a part of this unique event and we are looking to grow our operations team even more for 2019.”

The park is also hiring associates for daytime positions during The Great Pumpkin Fest, the park’s family-friendly Peanuts™ themed event, with openings in all areas of park operations including costumed characters, food and beverage associates, and admissions associates. ValleySCARE opens on Saturday, September 21 and runs on weekends through Sunday, October 27.
