HGTV Renovates Home in Minneapolis; Giving It Away for Free

The lucky winner of an annual sweepstakes by property channel HGTV will get their own remodeled Minneapolis home worth more than $700,000.

The prize for the 10th anniversary of the HGTV Urban Oasis Giveaway is this 1920s-era home near Minnehaha Falls.

The 1,800 square-foot house has been given a "top-to-bottom" renovation, transforming it into a "Scandinavian-inspired farmhouse is reflective of Viking and Nordic culture."

As you can see, the home has been brought into the 21st Century while still staying true to the original style of the house, comprising 3 bedrooms and 2-and-a-half bathrooms.

HGTV's decision to choose Minneapolis for the 10th version of its Urban Oasis competition comes in the same year it has launched a new property series, Stay or Sell, that is based in the Twin Cities, featuring Minnetonka property developers Heather and Brad Fox.

To be in with a chance of winning the Minneapolis home, you can enter the sweepstakes starting at 8 a.m. Central on Oct. 1, ending at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21.

Eligible fans can enter for a chance to win twice per day at HGTV.com/UrbanOasis.
