A pontoon boat docked close to a dam went over the edge over the weekend with four passengers onboard.
According to the Wabasha County Sheriff's Office (via Fox 9), the driver and three passengers returned to the boat at 10:40 p.m. Saturday evening after visiting Mac's Park Place on Lake Zumbro. The driver realized the boat was right next to the edge, and was unsuccessful in maneuvering the boat away from it.
The boat went over the side and landed upright on a shelf below the dam.
One passenger dove into the water and swam toward a buoy, and everyone else remained in the boat. One person was transported and the others were checked over by firefighters on the scene, but all parties involved are safe.
Investigators believe alcohol and darkness had a part in the incident.
