Teens and young adults in Wisconsin and Illinois had to be hospitalized recently for breathing problems likely linked to vaping.
According to the Daily Mail, 14 individuals have fallen ill and in some cases put on ventilators in intensive care possibly due to vaping. Health officials say the patients are otherwise healthy, but they all vaped.
The teens and young adults hospitalized say they experienced respiratory symptoms including cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue. Symptoms worsened over just days or weeks before going to the hospital.
The names and types of vape products are being investigated, but officials are saying this is a great reminder to talk with kids about the dangerous side effects of vaping.
