HBO Has Rejected Petition To Remake Game Of Thrones Season Eight

Well, this is not really a surprise. HBO has officially rejected the petition to remake season eight of Game of Thrones. If you remember, there was quite a lot of controversy in regards to the last season of Game of Thrones. A lot of hard-core fans were disgusted with a lot of the writing decisions which then prompted the now debunked petition. It wasn't a little petition either. Nearly 1.7 Million people had signed in hopes of getting a better end to the popular series.

According to Yahoo Entertainment, When TV critics brought that petition to the attention of Casey Bloys, the president of programming at HBO, he rejected the idea pretty swiftly — doubling down on HBO’s decision to rule out any sequels or returning characters. Bloys said, There are very few downsides to having a hugely popular show...one I can think of, when you try to end it, many people have opinions on how to end it. I think that comes with the territory. The petition shows a lot of enthusiasm and passion for the show, but it wasn’t something we seriously considered. I can’t imagine another network would." Even if you were one of the many that signed you have to admit, he does have a point.

What are your thoughts on the ending of the series? Do you think it was handled well?
