Petition To Move Halloween To The Last Saturday In October?

It seems a new petition has been making the rounds and it's one I feel actually makes sense. Launched by the nonprofit, Halloween & Costume Association, they are aiming to move Halloween from the traditional October 31st to the last Saturday in October. Why? Well, I'm sure some of you know that Halloween is often times set within the week and it makes it hard for kiddo's and parents alike to enjoy the holiday. The petition argues that moving the date of Halloween will lead to a "safer, longer, stress-free celebration." Honestly, I would have to somewhat agree. I remember as a kid having Halloween on a weeknight and it was always such a bummer and for my parents who had to drive us around.

So far the organization has gained quite a bit of traction and now has over 70,000 signatures and more are coming! You can check out the petition here: https://www.change.org/p/president-of-the-united-states-join-the-saturday-halloween-movement

What do you think of this? Would this work better?
