Minnesota Man Was Watching Porn Moments Before Fatal Crash

A man allegedly responsible for a fatal crash was watching porn on his phone moments before the accident.

According to the criminal complaint (via Bring Me The News), 47-year-old Tate Doom has been charged with criminal vehicular homicide in the crash on I-94 in Rogers, which occurred last October. The accident resulted in the death of 59-year-old construction worker, Vernon Hedquist.

Investigators determined that among 14 videos which had been downloaded from Pornhub and then deleted from his phone, one video was played on his phone at 2:07:41 p.m., less than two minutes before Doom rear-ended a truck and trailer in a construction zone on eastbound I-94.

Upon impact, the trailer was separated from the truck and was sent into the construction zone, hitting Hedquist. Another worker was hit by debris from the incident.

While Doom denies he was traveling over 50 mph, MnDOT footage shows he was traveling at 72 mph when the crash occurred.
