Filming Has Officially Started on Season Two Of The Umbrella Academy

Good news for all you superhero fans out there! The misunderstood and often times complicated heroes, The Umbrella Academy is coming back for season 2 and get this, they have already started filming. The show, which was created by My Chemical Romance, Gerard Way is based on seven children adopted by billionaire industrialist Sir Reginald Hargreeves, who creates the Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. In their teenage years, though, the family fractures and the team disbands. Fast forward to the present time, when the six surviving members of the clan reunite upon the news of Hargreeves' passing.

As someone who has seen the show and read the graphic novels, I'm excited! The show itself stars Ellen Page, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Mary J. Blige. Netflix has not set a release date for season 2 but judging by how long filming takes, not to mention all the editing that goes into producing a show like this, expect to see something by next year.
