Get ready for all Hell to break loose on the road this summer, because another busy I-35W exit ramp is closing for a month.
According to MnDOT (via Bring Me The News), the ramp from southbound I-35W to 46th Street will close at 6 a.m. on June 10 and will be closed for a month.
The ramp from 46th onto I-35W will remain open, but this is such a busy ramp already that I don't think anyone can mentally prepare for what's about to happen here. And even so, MnDOT says there will be short-term closures periodically between July and Fall 2020.
So...South Minneapolis residents will get to look forward to an even busier Nicollet Avenue and Diamond Lake Road exit.
To prepare for this madness, I-35W will shut down between I-94 and Hwy 62 from 10 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.
