Mall Of America Boy Receives More Procedures, Recovering Well

The latest update from the family of the boy thrown from a balcony at the Mall of America says he has had to undergo more medical procedures.

The 5-year-old, named Landen, suffered from "non-life threatening complications" from the injuries he suffered on Friday, Apr. 12.

These complications required "additional procedures to correct," his family says, adding that he is "recovering, and his spirit his strong – but there is still a long road ahead."

"We continue to ask for your prayers and greatly appreciate your respect for our privacy during this difficult time," the family added.

The boy suffered "significant injuries" after been thrown over the balcony outside theRainforestCafe, falling 40 feet to the ground.
