It seems like every cartoon, comic book, childhood book is getting the live action movie treatment. It looks like Rugrats will now be the newest! According to the Hollywood Reporter, the live action Rugrats movie will be directed by David Bowers. If that name doesn't ring a bell, he has directed films such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid sequels. Bowers has directed animated films as such as Astro Boy and Flushed Away. At this point, we don't know much but we do know that it's also being written by David Goodman, who has written with Family Guy.
The original Rugrats cartoon ran from 1991 to the early 2000's with even some animated movies in between. As a 90's kid who loved the show growing up, I'm crossing my fingers it's good!
