New Bill Introduced Which Makes Animal Cruelty A Nationwide Felony

If your a pet lover you'll like to know this! Two lawmakers from Florida have just introduced a bill which will make animal cruelty a felony nationwide. According to GreenMatters, "A democrat and a republican, respectively — are behind the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act, which targets “crushing, burning, drowning, suffocating, and impaling animals.”

If found guilty, people could face upwards to seven years in prison. According to the lawmakers, there have been other bills in the past that address the abuse against animals on both the state and federal levels but nothing like this.
