Lady Gaga broke her silence on her Oscars performance with Bradley Cooper, confirming "people saw love."
The singer-actress sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday night, "shutting down" Bradley Cooper romance rumors by further fueling them with a very wordy defense...claiming it was all for show.
"Yes, people saw love and guess what? That's what we wanted you to see," she said (via People). "[Shallow] is a love song, A Star Is Born is a love story. It was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time... When you're singing love songs, that's what you want people to feel."
Gaga says her connection with Cooper is "no different" than when she had her "arms wrapped around" Tony Bennett, who she says she also did not have any sort of romantic relationship whatsoever.
"I'm an artist and I guess [Bradley and I] did a good job...fooled ya!" said Gaga.
