A great-grandmother saved over $10,000 in a Coca-Cola bottle for the saddest reason ever.
Many of us are so focused on looks and overly-conscious about our forming wrinkles that it can become a crazy obsession. For great-grandmother Toni Goldenberg, her wrinkles became a barrier to making friends.
According to the Daily Mail, 80-year-old Goldenberg saved over $10,000 over five years in a Coca-Cola bottle to save up for a facelift to get rid of her "turkey neck," thinking the procedure will help her make friends.
"I still feel young at heart but my face just doesn't match my body anymore - or my mind for that matter," she said. "I want to boost my confidence and feel happier when I look in the mirror, and get rid of my turkey neck...Now it's time for me."
Goldenberg says she feels lonely "a lot of the time" and believes the surgery will give her a new lease on life.
However, she's been warned that there are risks with this surgery.
"There is a risk I could die during surgery but we are all going to die at some point and at least I will look good in my coffin," she jokes.
