Drag Artist Convinces Everyone For Months That He Messed Up His Face

This drag artist convinced the world that he had major work done to prove a point.

Makeup artist Elliot Rentz, known for his drag character Alexis Stone, is known for his celebrity transformations as Kim Kardashian, Cher, and Adele, to name a few. But he just pulled off his most major transformation yet: he convinced the world that he messed up his face with plastic surgery...for months

According to the Daily Mail, 25-year-old Rentz worked with Oscar-winning SFX makeup artist David Marti to create a look that would make it look as though he got extensive plastic surgery. The team created several masks for Rentz to wear, including masks he could wear in public so no one would find out the whole thing was fake.

Rentz shared the project in a video on YouTube to discuss the criticism he received for his looks while wearing the mask and call out internet trolls, which was the point of his project.

"The last year-and-a-half since when I started having Botox or filler, I have every day been called botched," he said. "I've been called a monster. I've accused of being addicted to plastic surgery. When the reality is I have only had one surgery."

"There is such a stigma behind plastic surgery and people have this idea that you can only receive or want surgery if you are in need of it from other people's point of view," he said.

People came out after the video was released and admitted they'd been fooled, even saying they felt bad about all the comments he was getting about his new appearance.

So in these photos taken since mid-October...Rentz was wearing prosthetics and no one even knew.
