Pink can add another title to her long-running resume and it's certainly an unexpected bullet to the list: a hit winemaker.
On Monday (December 31), Philadelphia Inquirer published an interview with the pop star, where she detailed her five-year passion project to purchase a 25-acre vineyard in Santa Barbara County with her husband Carey Hart and create her very own wine label. Interestingly enough, Pink has heavily immersed herself in the process by even picking the grapes. Back in late November, Two Wolves, her wine label, launched three wines: a cabernet franc, a cabernet sauvignon, and a petit verdot. Just a day after its release, all 114 cases were sold out. "I think every 10-year-old at Hanukkah hates wine, so, to be fair, it's an age thing, probably," the star said of her early wine memories. "I mean, we didn't grow up with money and my mom drank terrible wine and I felt like it was a punishment."
If you're interested in trying out some of Two Wolves, keep your eyes peeled for the next online-only release in April and the follow-up plans to start selling wholesale in this fall. While the initial batch was available for purchase in only nine states, Two Wolves has plans to expand its availability this spring.
"It's a lot. I feel like I have three full-time jobs," she said of the role. "Being a touring artist, making wine and launching a wine brand, being a mama. Sometimes I ask myself, what the hell am I thinking, but I love it all."
