Resort Offering A Dumb & Dumber Ski Vacation (Top Hats Included)

One resort is offering a getaway package inspired by the 1994 comedy Dumb & Dumber, including ruffled tuxedos with top hats.

According to Thrillist, the Curtis Hotel in Denver, Colorado, is offering a Harry and Lloyd-style weekend getaway trip for two including a two-night stay at the Curtis, private jet transportation to and from Aspen (which is a three hour drive from Denver), two single-day lift tickets at Aspen Mountain, and ruffled tuxedos with top hats in orange and powder blue. Guests also receive a bonus three-hour moped rental to tour Denver, $200 in hotel spa services, brunch, and a 12-pack of beer from Aspen Beer Company.

People who buy this vacation package unfortunately aren't gonna be ballin' on the cheap here...the Dumb & Dumber experience costs $10,000. This doesn't include your round trip to and from Denver.

But...you don't necessarily need the Curtis to have a Dumb & Dumber ski vacation. Here's a little breakdown of what I found online to complete your own getaway:

  • Decent Airbnb stays in and around Aspen typically cost at least $175 per night (many of them are MUCH more than that). No need for a private jet since you'll be staying in Aspen! (Although, that would be cooler.)
  • Aspen Mountain 2-day lift ticket costs $278 based on my search. (Find tickets here if you're interested.)
  • HalloweenCostumes.com has Harry and Lloyd outfits for $200 each. They even have female and kid size costumes, too!
  • Stop by Aspen Brewing Company in your tuxedos (instead of taking home a case of beer) and I'm sure you'll get the royal treatment.

Cost for two people: Roughly $1,300 (give or take...not including food, transportation, spa services, or the flight out there from Minnesota). Memories: priceless.
