Two Wisconsin men were charged in an incident which involved dragging and injuring a Minnesota state trooper with their Jeep.

According to KARE 11, a complaint states that Trooper Doug Rauenhorst and his partner conducted a traffic stop on Thursday in Fairbault County and suspected the driver and his passenger (from Milwaukee) were transporting drugs.

Rauenhorst was reportedly partly in the vehicle when the driver accelerated...and the passenger punched the trooper in the face. Rauenhorst was dragged along I-90 before falling out of the moving Jeep.

He was treated at a hospital in Albert Lea for his injuries.

The 28- and 29-year-old suspects were charged with fleeing police, third-degree assault, and felony drug possession.
