This Dancing Squid Dish Isn't Actually Alive (But It's Freaky)

Try not to cringe watching this dancing squid rice bowl. Would you eat it?

The dish, called katsu ika odori-don, which means "dancing squid rice bowl," looks like it's not ready to eat...but it is. According to the video below from Cultura Colectiva, salt in the soy sauce poured over the dish before eating it stimulates the dead squid's muscles, causing its limbs to move. 

I found this video in my newsfeed and had to share it. Beware...this footage is not for the faint of heart.
