St Paul Cops Respond to Noise Complaint; Join Them Playing Smash Bros

A noise complaint turned into a viral video when a pair of officers arrived at a St. Paul apartment, and joined in with a game of Super Smash Bros.

Jovante M. Williams shared video of the encounter he and his friends had with a pair of St. Paul cops, who had been sent to the apartment at the request of a neighbor unhappy with the noise.

When they arrived, they found Williams, Storm McKee, Ian Smith, Rico Vanderlowe and Ashley Yangtao having some pizza and beers, and playing the popular video game, Super Smash Bros.

The group asked the two officers – identified by the Pioneer Press as Isaac Palmer and Kou Yang – if they wanted to join in.

Yangtao then took some video of the group playing with the officers, which was then shared to Williams' Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

"So neighbors called the cops on us and now we fighting them," he wrote on Twitter.

The video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times on various social media channels, and has since been picked up by a number of national news outlets including Variety.
