Nachos have left the Chipotle test kitchen and are now available in Twin Cities locations.
I noticed the signage at the Chipotle on Excelsior Blvd and Highway 100 today. (I know, the image is of the other Chipotle on Excelsior, but Google Maps hasn't updated...) I forgot to snap a picture of the pricing, but I imagine they're not outrageously expensive.
Chipotle began testing nachos, along with Mexican chocolate shakes, frozen palomas, avocado tostadas, and quesadillas in its New York City test kitchen this summer. According to USA TODAY, the chain plans to eventually expand business with a breakfast menu, but it's testing these items first.
If the nachos made it to the Twin Cities...it looks like there's a chance those chocolate shakes will make it, too. That sounds wonderful.
