The third measles case has been confirmed within a six week span, according to multiple reports.
CBS 4 says the Minnesota Department of Health is warning travelers of these recent, confirmed measles cases, and is urging them to stay current on vaccines. There are outbreaks occurring in parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America, the department added.
Just last week, the third case was confirmed in a 2-year-old child in Ramsey County. The Star Tribune says the child was only "partly vaccinated," but was not fully protected by the recommended two-shot dose.
According to the CDC, symptoms of measles include high fever, cough, runny nose, red, watery eyes, and tiny white spots inside the mouth.
