These Are Minnesota's Six Prettiest Fall Drives

Before the snow locks us down onto our couch (or into our cross country skis, ice skates, ice fishing huts, etc.), taking a drive through the most scenic parts of Minnesota is just what the doctor ordered.

Forbes shared a list of the six prettiest ("scenic") Fall drives in Minnesota. I won't steal author Lea Lane's thunder here, so I'll just share two with you here.

Obviously, the North Shore makes for a great drive. Take the route that goes from Duluth to the Canadian border, and you'll come across restaurants, art galleries, hiking, history, and even waterfalls.

This one is one of my favorites - Itasca State Park. The Great River Road National Scenic Byway is another route on this list. It's beginning to get too chilly to do this now, but both of my chihuahuas have swam across the headwaters of the Mississippi River there. They (I, rather) really enjoyed it.

Just about any state park will be beautiful in the Fall. But check out the full list with more details about the drives and destinations here
