Minneapolis' Last Movie Rental Store is Closing

The last movie rental store in Minneapolis is closing its doors, citing the "constant barrage" of technology as a reason for the closure.

According to the Star Tribune, Movies on 35th Street announced it was closing earlier this month, after 15 years in business. Owner Tim Hanson told the newspaper that the Powderhorn shop will sell its DVDs and will close sometime in September.

In 2015, the store was visited by Prince and Judith Hill, who rented two movies. Only one was returned, and the other is over 1,000 days late.
