The Butterfly House at the Minnesota State Fair isn't just for kids. Instead, I think it's the cutest, most unsuspecting date idea at the fair.
Granted, the entire Minnesota State Fair is date night. But not everyone is going to walk past the Butterfly House and think it's romantic. (Except me!)
Just $3 gets you into the Butterfly House located at Dan Patch Ave and Underwood Street. They hand you a free Q-tip of butterfly food to feed the bugs, and there are plenty of butterflies to go around within the house.
Wondering how those kids running around get so many butterflies? You gently offer the butterflies your finger while they're resting in trees or on walls. I was offered my little friend by a girl who wanted to share the bug with me.
Okay, now get this...You can take a caterpillar home with you to "hatch" (into a butterfly, or whatever it is they do) in the privacy of your own home. It's your own little love bug! So cute.
If your date isn't into this idea (but you ARE), ditch them and go by yourself. You'll have a ton of fun like I did.
