Minneapolis is one of the top five worst cities in the United States for millennials looking to own their home, according to a new report.
Realtor.com says Minneapolis, along with Salt Lake City and Omaha, are in the top five worst markets for millennials wanting to buy their home, to which they attribute a higher millennial population and incomes that exceed the national median. (Thus, lots of competition.)
The top two cities that are worst for millennials are San Jose, California, and Seattle. Surprise, surprise!
According to USA TODAY, Minneapolis' median list price is about the same as the national average. Its growing bicycle culture and recruitment of workers at Fortune 500 companies are noted as selling points for millennials. Minneapolis has also recently been ranked as a top start up city.
