One year ago, I was in a pretty low place.
I'll spare you most of the details, because I don't want to be a Debbie Downer. But I was living in Colorado and I'd just been dumped, I left a really great job because I felt that going back to school would open more doors for me, and I was generally lost and feeling hopeless.
In October, I snapped. I'd learned some information about this former relationship of mine that I really didn't want to hear, and I basically said, "Screw this place, I'm going to finally move to Minneapolis."
Moving to the Twin Cities is something I've wanted to do for years. I have family here and grew up spending summers at the lake by my family's cabin in Central Minnesota, so it just felt natural to move here.
So, living paycheck to paycheck, and with some support from my family, I trusted my gut and moved away...and, aside from leaving my dog in Colorado temporarily and sleeping on an air mattress for 4 months, nothing but good things have happened.
Here's what happened when I trusted my gut that moving to the Twin Cities was the best decision I could make: I landed my dream job of working for iHeartMedia in the Twin Cities, landed another job that I actually really enjoy and am making good money for the first time in over a year, bought my first home, have my dog living with me full time, and am able to pay my bills while sustaining my habit of making daily Target runs.
I've had many times where I just laugh out loud, shake my head, and ask myself, "How the hell did this all happen? Why? I can't believe this."
This article from Elite Daily talks about moving to your dream city and how it can be the best thing that ever happened to you, and why. Read it here - I think it can apply to a lot of different things in life, no matter what stage you're in, where you want to be, or who you want to be.
Aside from trusting my intuition, I truly believe it's the Law of Attraction at work, and literally anyone can manifest what they want if they present their authentic self every day. You probably can't manifest winning the Powerball - that's just stupid. But, you can manifest abundance of any kind...you just have to be in the right mindset and believe that you deserve it.
