Modern Manners Have Been Announced For The Millenial Age That Everybody Should Know
If you think there's no place for old-fashioned, Emily Post-styled etiquette in this post-Millennial world, think again.
While Em is long gone, her great-great-grandchildren Lizzie Post and Daniel Post Senning just issued a brand-new 21st century update of her guide to all things polite, with new advice like:
Treat texting like you would a regular conversation. That means it’s rude to put off answering a text, or to bombard someone with message after message.
If you need to break bad news, you should do it with a call or in person, never with a text message.
It’s usually not necessary to bring a gift to an engagement party.
It's perfectly OK to un-tag yourself from a photo.
If you're not comfortable with a friend request, just ignore it. No explanation is needed. Tell them Emily Post said so. (NY Daily News)
