The 32-year-old “Chained to the Rhythm” singer gave the limited-time drink a taste on Thursday, showing off her negative reaction in her Instagram Story.
Unicorn Frappuccinos are sweeping the nation, but one pop star probably won't be racing to Starbucks this weekend to get her fix of the popular, sugary drink.
Katy Perry posted a video on her Instagram story on Thursday that appears to show her disappointment with the beverage. Katy appears to be excited to take a sip of the drink when the clip begins. Soon after she sips the beverage, however, that excitement fades. In fact, by the end of the video, she's totally disgusted by it.
The "Chained to the Rhythm" singer actually seems to spit the drink out at the end of the clip.
"I couldn't handle drinking my own blood," she wrote on Instagram.
Starbucks says that the drink is a blended creme with "a bit of magic." It starts a purple beverage with swirls of blue and a first taste that is "sweet and fruity," but Starbucks says that the drink changes after it is stirred. "Its color changes to pink and the flavor evolves to tangy and tart. The more swirl, the more the beverage’s color and flavors transform," the coffee giant says in a statement. The Unicorn Frappuccino is only available at Starbucks through Sunday.
