Katy Perry took to the 59th Grammy Awards on Sunday night (February 12) to offer the world the debut performance of her brand-new single, "Chained To The Rhythm," and the live rendition brought the political undertones of the track to the stage.
Prior to the number, Perry teased the performance to E!, revealing that it would be "unlike anything [she's] ever done." "Usually there's a lot of dancers and things but it's mostly just me," she said. "But it's a different just me… just pay close attention to the narrative." "Chained To The Rhythm" was a co-wrote with Sia and pop maestro Max Martin, and features Bob Marley's grandson Skip Marley.
