Animal activists say they will be out in full force this weekend when the movie A Dog's Purpose arrives in theaters.
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has called for a boycott of the film and plan to be at theaters across the country this weekend to shame people who buy tickets to see the movie. The group is protesting the treatment of the animals in the movie after a video was leaked last week showing a German Shepherd being forced into a pool of rough water. PETA's threats have already gotten Universal Pictures to cancelled the movie's red carpet premiere and press junket. A Dog's Purpose comes out Friday.
