Jason Sudeikis' casual Golden Globes attire became the butt of one of host Tina Fey's jokes after his tie-dye hoodie began garnering lots of attention on social media.
After the star accepted the Golden Globe Award for best actor in a musical or comedy TV series for his performance inTed Lassowearing a rainbow tie-dye sweatshirt from his sisterKristin Sudeikis' clothing line Forward__Space, Twitter began buzzing about his low-key look.
"Jason Sudeikis in a tie-dye hoodie on zoom is a whole pandemic vibe.#GoldenGlobes," one personsaid. Another persontweeted, "huge congrats to Jason Sudeikis not only for winning but for making history tonight as the first person ever to accept an award in a tie-dye hoodie."
Someone elsesaid, "Shoutout to Jason Sudeikis, Best Dressed at the#GoldenGlobesin a rainbow tie-dye hoodie."
I'll say this. I have a new found man crush on Jason Sudeikis. I just think Ted Lasso is one of the great characters and shows, already, in the history of TV. I think the tye dye hoodie look is fantastic, and if someone at Forward Space wants to send me one, I'm all in! (I just can't shell out $110 for a hoodie, yes I looked).
BUT I do have to say this. The speech was weird. I'm thinking he thought this was the win for best show? Rather than best actor?
Whatever, doesn't matter. The important thing is, the right person won. Because there were some great shows/actors in this mix, BUT Ted Lasso is a generational show/character. It's beyond just really good.
