After succumbing to the pandemic, Butcher & the Boar has been revived by new ownership.
Twin Cities hospitality company Jester Concepts – which owns acclaimed restaurants including P.S. Steak, Monello, Constantine, and Borough/Parlour – announced Friday it has bought the brand, though no reopening date has been set as it is still seeking a location.
Formerly located on Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, Butcher & the Boar opened in 2012 to rave reviews, earning a James Beard nomination in its first year. It quickly became a go-to spot for specialty meat dishes and whiskey.
