Minnesota Honda Owners Beware: Thieves Want This From Your Vehicle

Officials are warning Honda owners of thieves taking and selling airbags on the black market.

According to USA TODAY, thieves are targeting Honda vehicles for their driver-side airbags to resell in "questionable" repair shops or to consumers online. This has been happening in major metro areas, including Miami, New York City, and the Washington, D.C. area most recently and/or in frequent instances. Authorities aren't sure why thieves are targeting Honda vehicles specifically, but there is a pattern of Hondas being targeted.

Thieves can get as much as $1,000 for the airbags, costing victims as much (or more) to replace them.
