I just have a couple comments regarding these nom's.
The one I'm most firm and passionate about is Jason Sudeikis. I've, largely been indifferent about his career. Didn't really care about him on SNL. Thought he's been fine in movies since. BUT.......BUT.....
If he doesn't win for Ted Lasso then the whole thing is rigged. Period. His portrayal of Ted Lasso isn't the best performance of the year......it's one of the best TV performances of all time.
Coincidentally, if Ted Lasso doesn't win for Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy......I quit.
Same for Ozark. Just sweep the awards with Ozark and it's performances......the one exception would be best actor. I LOVE Jason Bateman, LOVE him. However, I can't be mad if Bob Odenkirk wins for Better Call Saul. He's so damn good. Also, I guess I can live with Mandalorian winning for Best Drama Series. But it should be Ozark.
Borat needs to win for best comedy film
I have to say, though, the nominations in film are pretty thin....wow.
The nominations for the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards were unveiled Wednesday morning.
Mankleads the nominees on the film side, whileThe Crowntops the TV nominations. Each earned six noms apiece.
Other top nominees include the filmsThe Trial of the Chicago 7, with five noms, andThe Father, NomadlandandPromising Young Womanwith four apiece.
This year's Golden Globe Awards ceremony airs live Sunday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. PT on NBC. (The show is produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is also a division of MRC.)
