Alaskan Man Takes Weekly 14 Hour Trip to Costco to Help Feed His Town

Toshua Parker owns a grocery store in Gustavus, a small town in Alaska and every week he and a few of his staff take a trip to Juneau to Costco to restock their shelves. Tosh's store is the only place in Gustavus to get groceries.

Usually he takes the state ferry to get to Costco, but since the pandemic, it has been shut down. Tosh had to find another way to get to Costco. So he converted a 96 foot military landing craft. I'm sure he just found that on Facebook Marketplace.

The trip to Juneau is only 50 miles but the round trip takes about 14 hours. All to keep his shelves stocked and his town eating.
