Wisconsin Inmate's Confession Could Exonerate Making A Murderer Stars

A Wisconsin inmate's confession could be the key to exonerating the subjects of Netflix's Making A Murderer.

According to the Daily Mail, an anonymous inmate reportedly admitted to killing Teresa Halbach, whose death is featured on Making A Murderer. Police will not release the inmate's name until the alleged confession has been verified.

The confession is part of a taped interview with a different documentary crew's producers. It was handed over by the filmmakers of Convicting A Murderer but they have yet to confirm its legitimacy.

If the confession is true, it may exonerate 57-year-old Steven Avery and his nephew, 29-year-old Brendan Dassey, who have both been behind bars for more than a decade for the murder of 25-year-old Teresa Halbach.
