MSP Officials Now Recommend Arriving THREE HOURS Before Your Flight

If you’re flying Delta out of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, you may want to budget a little extra time to get through long security lines.

At least that’s what the airline told passengers in an email, theStar Tribunereported.

Delta recommended passengers arrive at the airport at least 3 hours early if their flight is before noon. This warning comes after the long lines caused by checkpoint construction gained national attention earlier this month.

Remodeling of Terminal 1, where Delta flies out of, began earlier in mid-August. As a result, linesstretched far into the terminal, with even PreCheck passengers waiting in extremely long lines. Passengers quickly took to social media to express their frustration.

The recommendation from Delta comes despite anairport spokesperson telling WCCOthat wait lines in the past week have "rarely been over" 30 minutes. The TV station tracked progress at screening points Friday and said that while the lines look bad, they move quickly.
