Twin Cities Figure Skating Coach Pleads GUILTY To Sexual Assault Of Student

A figure skating coach from the Twin Cities pleaded guilty for sexual assault on an underage student.

According to Bring Me The News, 48-year-old Thomas Incantalupo entered a plea deal and admitted to one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of third degree criminal sexual conduct. Seven other charges were dropped.

Incantalupo agreed to serve at least 12 years in prison, however, he admitted to factors that will lead the Hennepin County Attorney's Office to seek the maximum 30 years. He said that on two separate occasions, he took the victim to a hotel room when she was 15 and 16. The abuse started when she was 14, with abuse happening on skating trips in and outside of the United States.

Incantalupo coached at the Eden Prairie Figure Skating Club. He was suspended following his arrest and has since been banned from coaching by the U.S. Center for SafeSport.

He'll be sentenced on September 27.
