CBD-Infused Oreo Cookies In the Works?

The parent company of Oreo is jumping on the CBD bandwagon.

According to the Daily Mail, Mondelez is exploring the idea of diving into the CBD obsession with new hemp-based products that would be sold legally in stores.

Most products containing CBD, not THC, became legal when President Trump signed the farm bill. Though, the bill didn't fully legalize the use of CBD in food products. Only states that have individually legalized food products containing CBD to be sold in stores can put them in stores.

Mondelez CEO Dirk Van de Put says Oreos will "probably stay the same" since they're created by a "family company." Instead, the company is looking to roll out a completely new line of snacks or infusing their other food items.

Mondelez also makes Cadbury, Chips Ahoy, Nutter Butter, and Ritz.
