Eaux Claires Music Festival CANCELLED for 2019; Will Return in 2020

Bad news for fans of the Eaux Claires Festival – it won't be going ahead next year.

The popular festival, founded by Bon Iver's Justin Vernon and The National's Aaron Dessner, announced on its website that it will be taking a year off in 2019.

The event was first held in 2015 at Foster Farms, just off of I-94 southwest of Eau Claire, and has been held every year since.

But it'll take a break next year before returning in 2020.

Its statement said that it won't be returning to the festival grounds on Foster Farms in 2020, with Volume One reporting that the plan is to move the festival into downtown Eau Claire.

The next iteration of the Eaux Claires festival would be held across a variety of downtown spaces, including Haymarket Plaza and Phoenix Park.

"After our Senior year, we find ourselves wanting to move out, change things, and take stock of who we’ve become," EXC Founders and Organizers wrote in the statement on the festival website.
